Degrees Offered: Applied - Master of Science (M.S.); Two-Year College Teaching - Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.); Secondary - Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.)

Program Description: The mathematics programs feature small classes and the opportunity to work closely with faculty members who are specialists in the field of pure and applied mathematics, computer science, statistics, and education.

Faculty research interests are in the areas of number theory, differential equations, combinatorics, graph theory, applied statistics, inverse problems, computer systems, and learning theory.

Required Standardized Test: GRE General Exam

Minimum Admissions Requirements: Same as the Graduate School

Additional Admissions Criteria: Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation. For the M.A.T., the applicant must hold or be eligible for the North Carolina "A" license in mathematics.
